The Roosevelt Cottage |
The FDR cottage is handsome, exhibiting design of early American colonial architecture.
The cottage was built in 1880's by Boston architect Willard T. Sears. |
Scenic vistas overlook the islands and shores of Passamaquoddy and Cobscook Bays
in New Brunswick and Maine. OPEN Saturday prior to Memorial Day and remains open

The Burnham Tavern Museum |
A charming buliding built in 1770 by Job Burnham, and is the oldest building east
of the Penobscot River. In 1910 The Daughters of the American Revolution opened
the museum. |

Built in 1818, and designed by housewright Aaron Sherman of Marsfield, Massachusetts.
The amazing feature is the wood carving, completed with a penknife by a Mass.

Ruggles House |
The Thomas Ruggles House is reminiscent of an "exotic elegance, and in its wistful
charm, it is like the ghost of a dainty old lady, dressed in gray silk, who,
having wandered out of the past, had sat down by the roadside and forgotten to

Owls Head Transportation Museum |
The Museum is recognized for its collection of pioneer era (pre-1930) aircraft, automobiles,
carriages, bicycles, motorcycles and engines. |
The majority are in operating condition and demonstrated at special events, for the
public to experience the excitement of our transportation heritage. Spectacular
airshows accompany most events. The transportation Museum is a fun learning

Penobscot Marine Museum Museum |



Museum is part of the original "townscape", and is designed to entertain and educate
all ages to the tastes, talents and challenges of maritime life. |
Each building is a different presentation that highlights life at the water's edge.

Camden Hills State Park |
Maine's largest and most popular coastal state park. 5,500 acre park with 25 miles
of hiking trails along the shore and in the Megunticook Mountain range (peaks
of 1,380'). |
There is 112 campsites, hot showers, water faucets, playground, pets allowed, bulletin
board & dumping station. Scenic attraction is the 1.4 mile road to the top
